An open letter to my friends

These were the first words I said to my husband before I unloaded all the shower ideas of what is now Cats & Coffee. “We dont even have to serve coffee. It can be a self serve pot! For FREE, like at church.” Because all I want in the grand scheme (of… I don’t know all of it?) was to share the space with likeminded people, who love cats just as we do. Over the 2 years we have been building, the mission keeps evolving. I want to do more, I want to give more, I want to serve more. Not just the community, but the cats and other animals that we share space with. To educate. To love. To learn! And again, not just from or about cats. The people we share space with. A caring community space with BIG goals and starting small.

In a time of rampant careless-ness, I want to be someone that intentionally, compassionately and lovingly cares about the most vulnerable in our community and providing a safe third place for all.
